THE MINSTREL

They say he died in the crash that day
And that with so many peoples lives he did play.
He said every body was a fool , and like his
Music , they was but a tool.

As his life slowly ebbed away, he in his
Mind, he did pray.
Although his prayers would never
Fall on deaf ears , in his heart he did fear.

He felt his spirit leave his shell
And did not know if he was going
To heaven or to hell.

He was heard to say, as his life had slipped away:
I went to heavens gates, and the sign said
‘ TEMPORARILY CLOSED”
So I went to hell: but ! Hell was full so I came back.
Now I am a wandering minstrel singing songs
Of heaven and hell- and how I rang heavens bells.

Some say it is called purgatory, while others say
It is the endless road to all that exists.
I say it is another stage for me to perform
And this is the stage where I belong.

So I travel this long dark road
Singing my songs of heaven and hell
And how in this world I do dwell
Paying the price for what I had done
On earth, and if my life had any worth.

Listen to my songs of what I’ve gone thru
Just so this won’t happen to you.
Enjoy every day with family and friends
Because one day this will all end.
Treat every day as if it’s your last
And forget what you may have done in the past.
Live today with joy in your heart, and greet
Every moment from the start.

Make your heart and mind
“the house that jack built”
And let all dwell inside
for this will last through out your time.
Fill your heart with LOVE, HOPE , AND FAITH
Before it becomes much to late.
